titleOfInvention | Polymer-modified silicon compound / polyurethane composite |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly improve the mechanical properties of a conventional composite obtained by using silica which is a silicon compound, organic clay modified from clay, etc. and directly dispersing them in polyurethane. SOLUTION: In a polyurethane composite in which silicon compound particles such as aluminosilicate particles and polysilicate particles are dispersed and combined in polyurethane, the silicon compound particles are modified in advance with a polymer of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. This improves the compatibility between the particles and the polyurethane interface. As the ethylenically unsaturated monomer, for example, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate and the like are preferably used.
