abstract |
Disclosed is a method for producing ketal bisphenols which has a high reaction rate and a high conversion rate to improve production efficiency. A method for producing a ketal bisphenol by reacting at least a dihydroxybenzophenone with a glycol or an alkylenedithiol, wherein 0.1 mol% to 50 mol% of an organic compound is produced with respect to the dihydroxybenzophenone. The reaction is carried out in the presence of sulfonic acids or organic carboxylic acids. [Selection figure] None |
