abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition for a ballpoint pen which can prevent dripping or dripping of ink from a ballpoint pen tip and has excellent drying performance, and a ballpoint pen refill and a ballpoint pen incorporating the same. SOLUTION: Water, a colorant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and dextrin are contained in an amount of 0.1 to 5% by weight in the total amount of the ink composition, and the viscosity is in the range of 1 to 20 mPa ยท s, and A water-based ink composition for ballpoint pens having a shear thinning index in the range of 0.6 to 1.0, and a ballpoint pen refill and ballpoint pen incorporating the same.
