abstract | The present invention provides a foamed sheet made of a thermoplastic resin which is not only excellent in appearance but also excellent in mechanical strength, heat resistance and oil resistance and is suitable for producing a container, and a container made of this foamed sheet. The first invention is based on 100 parts by weight of a total amount of two resin components of 50 to 95% by weight of a polystyrene resin (A) and 5 to 50% by weight of a polyolefin resin (B). A resin mixture containing 3 to 30 parts by weight of a solubilizer (C) and 0.1 to 5.0 parts by weight of a nucleating agent (D) is used as a raw material, and is produced by an extrusion molding method in the presence of a foaming agent. The second invention is manufactured by a thermoforming method using the thermoplastic resin foam sheet according to the first invention as a raw material.
