abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alumina organic solvent dispersion excellent in dispersion stability in various organic solvents, particularly alcohols, ethers, ketones and esters. SOLUTION: Alumina slurry is obtained by hydrolysis with 4 to 10 moles of water of metal aluminum or hydrolyzable aluminum compound in an organic solvent, and 0.01 to 0.01 mol of metal aluminum or hydrolyzable aluminum compound.
