abstract | [PROBLEMS] To establish a technology capable of specifically amplifying a target nucleic acid at a low cost by realizing highly accurate nucleic acid amplification capable of amplifying only a desired nucleic acid more specifically and efficiently by suppressing nonspecific amplification. . A modified thermostable RecA protein obtained by modifying at least one amino acid in an amino acid sequence constituting an acidic region on the C-terminal side of a wild type thermostable RecA protein by deletion or substitution. The modified heat-resistant RecA protein, which has an improved ability to contribute to the amplification efficiency of the template nucleic acid in the nucleic acid amplification reaction system, as compared to the wild-type heat-resistant RecA protein.
