titleOfInvention | Method for forming alignment film, liquid crystal optical element, and optical head device |
abstract | A method for forming an alignment film with good alignment stability using an inorganic material is provided. Also provided are a liquid crystal optical element and an optical head device having excellent optical characteristics and reliability. An alignment film composition containing an inorganic material having an organic group and a solvent is applied onto a substrate, and then the alignment film composition is subjected to a heat treatment to remove the solvent. Next, the alignment film composition is irradiated with an ion beam obliquely to remove a part of the organic group, thereby forming a porous alignment film having pores inclined with respect to the film surface. The step of removing the solvent is preferably performed at a temperature of 200 ° C. or lower in the atmosphere. In addition, the ion beam irradiation step is preferably performed at a temperature of 300 ° C. or lower. [Selection] Figure 1 |
