abstract To provide an ultrasonic image generation method capable of observing a structure of a living tissue more accurately by contrasting an ultrasonic image. An ultrasonic contrast agent containing cadmium ions is used to selectively attach cadmium ions to L-type calcium channels distributed on the nerve cell surface of a living tissue. Using the pulse excitation type ultrasonic microscope 2, the living tissue 8 is irradiated while ultrasonically scanning two-dimensionally, and the acoustic impedance is calculated based on the intensity of the reflected wave from the surface of the living tissue 8. Based on the obtained acoustic impedance, image processing for generating an acoustic impedance image of the living tissue 8 is performed. [Selection] Figure 1
