abstract [PROBLEMS] While predicting and diagnosing the pathology of hepatitis such as fulminant hepatitis is the most important for appropriate treatment, hepatitis using conventional diagnostic techniques using the expression level of specific proteins and liver function as indicators. It is difficult to predict the pathological condition of the disease, and development of a new diagnostic technique for hepatitis has been desired. According to the present invention, the expression level of TGF-α mRNA in a tissue sample containing blood is quantitatively detected by one-step RT-PCR or the like, so that the pathological condition of hepatitis including prognosis can be detected. Provided are a diagnostic kit and a diagnostic marker that can be accurately diagnosed and highly correlated with a disease state and excellent in accuracy. [Selection] Figure 1
