abstract 【Task】 This invention provides the chemical | medical agent which suppresses the production | generation of the biofilm formed by Eikenella corrodens which is 1 type of a periodontal disease related bacterium. [Solution] As a drug that solves the above problems, it is a biofilm inhibitor comprising, as an active ingredient, epigallocatechin-3-gallate, which is a kind of catechin formed by Eikenella corrodens, or a pharmacologically acceptable derivative thereof. The present invention is also a biofilm inhibitor comprising a mixture of epigallocatechin-3-gallate or a pharmacologically acceptable derivative thereof and N-acetylgalactosamine or a pharmacologically acceptable derivative thereof.
