abstract | An expandable stent comprising an end portion of a base portion, an end portion of a distal portion, and a tubular wall provided between the end portions of the base portion and the end portion of the distal end portion. The tubular wall is defined by a plurality of cross members comprising a longitudinal axis and a series of longitudinal struts provided substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the stent.
