A method for applying turfgrass comprising a step of applying a granular fertilizer composition containing a resin-coated nitrogen fertilizer to soil in which turfgrass grows during the turfgrass growing season, preferably 5 to 20 g per m 2 as a nitrogenous fertilizer component. A method for suppressing the occurrence of dollar spot disease, characterized in that 60% or more of all nitrogen fertilizer components in the granular fertilizer composition are contained in the resin-coated nitrogen fertilizer, preferably in the resin-coated urea.
