Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition having excellent transparency even when it contains metal oxide particles (for example, oxide particles containing at least titanium). A thermoplastic resin composition is composed of a thermoplastic resin and metal oxide particles dispersed in a nanometer size (for example, an average dispersion diameter of 10 nm or less) in the thermoplastic resin. The thermoplastic resin may be composed of a thermoplastic resin having a fluorene skeleton in order to disperse the metal oxide particles efficiently. Further, the metal oxide particles are hydrolyzed between a hydrolytic condensable metal compound and a hydrolytic condensable silicon compound (for example, a silane coupling agent having a hydrocarbon group directly bonded to a silicon atom such as aryltrialkoxysilane). It may be a condensate. [Selection figure] None |
