abstract |
An apparatus and method are provided for performing DNP-NMR measurements on a sample in vitro. In vitro DNP-NMR in a sample comprising a magnetic field generator (1a, 1b) located in a cryostat (2), surrounding a lumen and forming respective NMR and DNP work areas (90, 92) A device for making measurements. A system for performing DNP on appropriately prepared samples in the DNP work area. System for performing NMR processing on samples in the NMR work area. A sample positioning mechanism (5) that can be inserted into the lumen (3) and then brought to each of the working areas. The magnetic field generator has a homogeneity or profile suitable for performing DNP on the sample, and a magnetic field within the DNP work area has uniformity or profile suitable for performing NMR processing on the sample.
