abstract | A polymerizable naphthopyran derivative and a polymer material obtained from the derivative are provided. The present invention relates to novel compounds of formula (I): [Chemical 1] (Where R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are the same or different and independently represent the following: -Hydrogen-halogen-hydroxy or hydroxyalkyl group-alkyl group a, b and c are independently 0-5, R 4 is bonded to the naphthalene unit by a —CH 2 —O— bond at the 1, 2 or 3 position and represents the following: A divalent group capable of (co) polymerization with the monomer, A monovalent group (co) polymerizable with the monomer, R 5 is bonded to the naphthalene unit at the 1, 2 or 3 position and represents: -Hydrogen-halogen-hydroxyalkyl group-alkyl group e is an integer of 0-2, d + e = 3).
