Inhibitors of serine proteases, especially HCV NS3-NS4A protease |
abstract |
The present invention inhibits serine protease activity, especially hepatitis C virus NS3-NS4A protease, Formula I: [Chemical 1] Or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. They themselves act to interfere with the life cycle of hepatitis C virus and are useful as antiviral agents. The invention further relates to a pharmaceutically acceptable composition comprising said compound for in vitro use or for administration to a patient with HCV infection and to a method for producing said compound. The invention also relates to a method for treating HCV infection in a patient by administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of the invention. |
