titleOfInvention | Screening method for identifying PUFA-PKS in a sample |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for the rapid and concise identification of PUFA PKS in microorganisms. Said method is characterized by the fact that the DNA part representing PKS that specifically produces PUFA (polyunsaturated fatty acids) is replicated in vitro. The specific amino acid sequence LGIDSIKRVEIL of PUFA PKS makes it possible to obtain oligonucleotides used for efficient PCR screening of PUFA PKS genes or PUFA-producing microorganisms. The method of the present invention is particularly suitable for high-throughput screening of microorganisms for the PUFA PKS gene. |
