abstract A method of correlating a patient's cardiovascular and sleep-disordered breathing states. The patient's heart rate and / or detailed echocardiographic data is monitored and recorded continuously or periodically on a similar time scale with sleep breathing disorder information. Thereafter, changes in the patient's heart rate associated with changes in sleep-disordered breathing are observed.
