abstract An interface is provided for storing the microfluidic sample within the nanoliter sample tip (10). The fluid access structure provides a fluid access region from an array of sample wells (12) to a selected subset of sample wells (12). The fluid introduction mechanism introduces the sample fluid into the fluid access region so that the sample fluid does not enter the unselected sample well and the sample is in the sample well (12) in the selected subset (20). Fluid enters.
