This application demonstrates the discovery of an interaction between vitamin D3 receptor (VDR), a member of the nuclear hormone ligand-activated receptor superfamily, and MNAR, a scaffolding protein. This interaction results in the formation of a ternary complex between VDR, MNAR and Src or PI3 kinase, a family of tyrosine kinases, which mediates signal transduction in cells, particularly osteoblasts. |
