titleOfInvention | Duckweed chloroplast transformation |
abstract | The present invention provides methods and compositions for transforming duckweed plastids. The compositions and methods of the present invention are useful for increasing the ability of duckweed expression systems to produce recombinant proteins. Compositions of the invention include transformed duckweed plastids, transplastomic duckweed cells and duckweed plants, and nucleic acid constructs useful for transforming duckweed plastids. The present invention also provides a method for introducing one or more heterologous nucleotide sequences into a duckweed plasm. [Selection] Figure 2 |
