The invention includes bladder cancer, colon cancer, endometrial cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, leukemia, lymphoma, melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, soft tissue cancer, kidney. The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting and treating metastasis of cancers such as cancer, osteosarcoma, mesothelioma, multiple myeloma, bladder cancer and esophageal cancer, and a method of using these pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of said metastasis and cancer. Another aspect of the present invention is a novel antisense oligonucleotide that inhibits the formation of human interleukin 10 and their synthesis. A further aspect of the invention is the use of IL-10 antisense oligonucleotides for the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions and for the treatment of cancer and metastasis.
