titleOfInvention Resolution of racemic compounds of methyl-α-5- [4,5,6,7-tetrahydro [3,2-C] thienopyridyl]-(2-chlorophenyl) acetate
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide (R) and (S) -enantiomers of methyl-α-5- [4,5,6,7-tetrahydro [3,2-C] thienopyridyl]-(2-chlorophenyl) acetate and salts thereof. Provide a method for each of the divisions. The method is characterized by performing diastereomeric crystallization using a single optically active resolving agent and at least one solvent. This separated (R) -enantiomer can be further racemized and resolved in a similar manner to increase the recovery of the (S) -enantiomer as much as possible. These separated enantiomers can be recrystallized in an organic solvent to achieve an enantiomeric purity of 99.5% or higher.
