Methods are provided for modulating the activity of the immune system using an agonist or antagonist of CD200 or CD200R. Also provided are methods of treating and diagnosing immune disorders, particularly disorders associated with hair follicle disorders. The present invention provides a method of treating a condition or disorder associated with hair follicles comprising administering to a subject an effective amount of an agonist of CD200 or CD200R. This agonist is derived from the antigen binding site of an antibody that specifically binds to CD200 or CD200R. |
