Selective removal of fluoride and ammonia by chromatographic separation of wastewater |
abstract |
A method of removing fluoride from a wastewater stream generated during industrial operations for further industrial use or to comply with environmental regulations. The method removes fluoride ions and fluorosilicate ions separately from the total ions in the wastewater stream, thereby improving process efficiency and reducing costs. Fluoride ions and fluorosilicate ions are passed through one or more columns containing a charged resin that selectively binds cations / anions in the wastewater stream using ion exchange chromatography. Remove. Fluoride ions are washed out of the column and collected for removal or use in other processes. |
