abstract |
A stent comprising segments with a plurality of interconnected closed serpentine circumferential bands 110. Each closed serpentine circumferential band includes a plurality of struts 112. Struts adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction are connected to each other by a folded portion. Each strut has a predetermined length. When moving the entire circumference of the circumferential band clockwise, the strut increases substantially in length from its minimum strut length to its maximum strut length, and then its length increases from its maximum strut length to its minimum strut length.
