abstract | A polyethylene resin improved in environmental stress crack resistance, stiffness and impact resistance is produced by a process comprising feeding both a chromium oxide catalyst and a silylchromium catalyst to a polymerization reactor. The chromium oxide catalyst and the silyl chromium catalyst are present on separate carriers. The chromium oxide catalyst is 25 to 50 weight percent and the silyl chromium catalyst is 50 to 75 weight percent, based on the total weight of the catalyst. The catalysts can be added separately or as a single mixture. |
