In this application, HLA-DR specific monoclonal antibodies are provided that are capable of inducing apoptosis in tumor cells that express HLA-DR. Certain exemplary HLA-DR specific antibodies exhibit reduced levels of immunosuppressive activity. The antibody of the present invention is a method for diagnosing cancer associated with tumor cells expressing HLA-DR, and a composition for the treatment of cancer associated with tumor cells expressing HLA-DR and a tumor expressing HLA-DR. It finds use in methods for the treatment of cancers associated with cells. |
