abstract |
The present invention relates to a method of providing a lysosomal enzyme to a subject by administering a stem cell, preferably a pluripotent adult progenitor cell (MAPC). The present invention further relates to a method for treating lysosomal storage diseases by administering stem cells. The present invention also relates to a method for modulating the accumulation of a substrate in a subject comprising providing the subject with an effective amount of a lysosomal enzyme. The stem cells are Oct-3 / 4 positive and can give rise to endoderm, ectoderm and mesoderm cells and provide lysosomal enzymes. |
