abstract | A catheter, such as a guide catheter, can be configured to deliver the device to a vasculature portion, such as intracranial, while maintaining a desired level of flexibility. A catheter having an elongate shaft can include removable support means that can provide strut support to the elongate shaft. The elongate shaft can be provided with a fixing means for fixing the detachable support means so as to be releasable.
