Electrochemical treatment of substrates |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modifying a substrate having high resolution by using electrochemical means. A method is provided for electrochemically treating a substrate, the method comprising: (A) providing an electrolyte in contact with the substrate; (B) a device is provided facing the substrate and in contact with the electrolyte, the device comprising: (I) a common first electrode disposed therein to limit the cells, and (ii) a plurality of second electrodes that can be individually addressed, and a plurality of cells that can be individually addressed A process comprising: (C) changing the potential of at least one of the second electrodes relative to the common first electrode so that (i) the common first electrode produces a first redox product and (ii) a second At least one of the electrodes includes creating a second redox product capable of modifying a region of the substrate facing the second electrode, the electrolyte of the method comprising the first redox product being a first redox product It is an electrolyte that can be quenched by.
