titleOfInvention | Method of forming dental restorative material packaging |
abstract | A method of forming a capsule assembly comprising a radiation responsive dental restorative material provides sufficient contrast to the exterior surface so that the indicia can be easily visually detected by a person and / or read and detected by an optical machine. Exposing a selected portion of the outer surface of the container to laser-generated radiation at an energy level sufficient to create an indicia on the outer surface. The indicia identifies the characteristics of the radiation responsive dental restorative material in the container, and the container is formed from a laser marking enhancement (LE) polymer that is inert to the radiation responsive dental restorative material in the container. The ability of the container to dispense the radiation-responsive dental restorative material under pressure is not adversely affected by exposing the container to laser-generated radiation when creating marks on the outer surface of the container. Optionally, exposure of the laser marking enhancement (LE) polymer to the laser generated radiation may cause one or more raised protrusions on the container to be useful for engaging the elastic cap with the container adjacent the orifice. It is done at an energy level sufficient to produce. |
