abstract |
The present invention relates to an electroluminescence display device using a dielectric sphere embedded in a flexible insulating substrate. Each of the spherical dielectric particles has a first portion protruding from the upper surface of the substrate and a second portion protruding from the lower surface of the substrate. An electroluminescent phosphor layer is attached to the first portion of each spherical dielectric particle, and a continuous conductive, substantially transparent electrode layer is disposed on the top surface of the electroluminescent phosphor layer and the electroluminescent phosphor layer. The flexible insulating substrate is placed between the upper surfaces of the flexible insulating substrates. A region of the flexible insulating substrate located between the second part of the spherical dielectric particles and the second part of the spherical dielectric particles is covered with a continuous conductive electrode layer. |
