abstract To provide a stator for a rotating electrical machine that maintains insulation, including partial discharge resistance, while maintaining good workability and having an increased conductor space factor in a slot. In a stator of a rotating electrical machine including a cylindrical stator core having a plurality of slots formed in a circumferential direction and a stator winding accommodated in the slots, a plurality of conductor strands 33a are provided. At least a portion of the conductor wires 33a are laminated in surface contact with each other, and a PPS resin outer layer 33c is provided on the outer periphery thereof to form a segment 33.
