titleOfInvention Plasma display panel and manufacturing method thereof
abstract Disclosed is a plasma display panel (PDP) that suppresses variations in height of intersecting barrier ribs by a simple method and does not cause crosstalk between discharge cells, and a method for manufacturing the same. A recess 122 is provided at a position where an intersecting portion 121 of a first partition 120a before firing and a second partition 120b before firing orthogonal to the first partition 120a before firing contacts each other. When such a recess 122 is formed, the surface area per volume of the intersection 121, the first partition 120a before firing between the intersection 121 and the intersection adjacent to the intersection 121, and the second before firing. The value of the surface area per volume with the partition wall 120b is substantially equal. As a result, the height of the intersecting portion 115 does not increase after firing, and the barrier ribs have a uniform height, so that crosstalk does not occur between the discharge cells.
