abstract |
The present invention provides a high-performance electrophotographic photosensitive member in which image defects such as black spots, color spots, and interference fringes hardly occur. An undercoat layer containing metal oxide particles and a binder resin is formed on a conductive substrate having a maximum surface roughness Rz of 0.8 ≦ Rz ≦ 2 μm, and the undercoat layer is formed on the undercoat layer. In the electrophotographic photosensitive member having a photosensitive layer, the undercoat layer is dispersed in a solvent in which methanol and 1-propanol are mixed at a weight ratio of 7: 3 by a dynamic light scattering method of metal oxide particles in a liquid. The measured volume average particle diameter is 0.1 μm or less, and the cumulative 90% particle diameter is 0.3 μm or less. [Selection figure] None |
