abstract |
Accurate estimation of blood input function (BIF) in the analysis of images obtained by functional medical scans. Images are obtained by functional medical scans such as positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance tomography (MRI). A subject who has been administered an appropriate contrast agent will have an MRI scan and a PET scan performed simultaneously. The BIF is derived using the former result. Next, a pharmacokinetic analysis based on the BIF thus derived and the PET scan image is performed. [Selection figure] None |
