abstract | The present invention provides a fluorenone-based bisazo pigment with very little performance-decreasing component and residual solvent, and a production method thereof that is efficient and has a low environmental impact. A wet cake obtained by forming fluorenone-based bisazo pigment particles in a liquid solvent and filtering the fluorenone-based bisazo pigment, or a dried crude product obtained by drying the wet cake is combined with at least one of a supercritical fluid and a subcritical fluid. A method for producing a fluorenone-based bisazo pigment, comprising a treatment step of contacting with a mixed fluid of a trainer or contacting with a fluid that can be used as the entrainer and then contacting with at least one of a supercritical fluid and a subcritical fluid.
