abstract | Disclosed is a method for producing a metal catalyst, in which variation in the amount of metal fine particles supported on the surface of carrier particles can be minimized. In a state where carrier particles are dispersed in a liquid phase reaction system containing metal ions that are the basis of metal fine particles, the ions are reduced by the action of a reducing agent under heating to form metal fine particles.
