abstract The present invention provides a seal member capable of improving the lubrication performance of a seal member holding a lubricant and making the manufacturing process relatively simple, and a bearing using the seal member. A seal member for use in a seal portion with sliding, wherein the seal member is obtained by firing a mixture containing at least a resin and a lubricant, and the lubricant is a sintered body of the resin. The blending ratio of the lubricant is 10 to 150 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin, the resin is a thermoplastic elastomer, and the thermoplastic elastomer is a thermoplastic polyurethane. It is an elastomer or a thermoplastic polyester elastomer. The above resin is a resin pellet having a side of 0.01 mm or more and 1 mm or less, and its aspect ratio is 2 or more and 50 or less.
