abstract | Color reproducibility for a wide variety of images when a color image is given to a formed toner image to develop the color of the toner image and a full-color image is formed with a single developer. It is an object to provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming method capable of performing well and stable image formation. An image carrier, a toner image forming unit, a coloring information providing unit, a transfer unit, and a toner controlled to maintain a colored or non-colored state by applying coloring information by light. The coloring information providing means exposes the toner image formed on the surface of the image carrier from the back side of the image carrier, and transmits through the image carrier.
