abstract An object of the present invention is to prevent pressure rise and material leakage in a mold when producing an elastic roll by molding. An elastic roll with high shape accuracy, an electrophotographic process cartridge capable of forming an excellent image, and an image forming apparatus are provided. In a method of manufacturing an elastic roll having a shaft core body and an elastic layer, a shaft core body using a cylindrical mold and a mold having two tops that support both ends of the shaft core body and have a material flow port is provided. The shaft core is placed in the mold with both ends supported by both pieces, the injection nozzle is brought into contact with one piece, and the elastic layer forming material is injected into the mold for Ti seconds. After leaving the nozzle in contact with the frame, the nozzle is separated from the frame, the injected material is cured, and the cured elastic layer forming material is taken out of the mold together with the shaft core body, and 0.2 Ti ≦ Th ≦ 0.6 Ti.
