titleOfInvention | Seed-specific promoter and its use |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a promoter having specific activity in seeds and a method for expressing foreign proteins in seeds. SOLUTION: A plurality of rice seed expression promoters were isolated, binary vectors were prepared by inserting each promoter upstream of the GUS reporter gene, and rice was transformed by the Agrobacterium method. Using the expression level of GUS as an index, we examined the expression site by each promoter, the expression during seed maturation, and the expression intensity in seeds. We found a promoter with higher activity compared to the seed-specific promoter. [Selection figure] None |
