The present invention provides a liquid crystal alignment protrusion, a color filter, a liquid crystal display element, and a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element, which use the negative resist for forming a liquid crystal alignment protrusion. A negative resist for forming a protrusion for liquid crystal alignment, which contains an alkali-soluble resin, a polymerizable monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, and a silane coupling agent, wherein the alkali-soluble resin is doubled in the molecule.
