abstract | A transfer material useful for forming a black matrix and capable of forming a thin film at a high concentration. Even in the high concentration black matrix, defects such as pinholes and the thickness of colored pixels formed in a subsequent process are disclosed. Provided are a color filter without unevenness, a manufacturing method thereof, and a liquid crystal display device having the color filter. A shielding transfer layer having a film thickness of 1.2 μm or less containing at least one kind of a resin and its precursor and metal particles or metal-containing particles is provided on a temporary support, and A mat agent-containing layer containing a mat agent is provided on a temporary support (hereinafter referred to as a “back surface”) on the opposite side to the installation side of the shielding transfer layer with respect to the temporary support.
