abstract | Provided is a rubber composition for a tire tread capable of significantly reducing the rolling resistance of a tire without lowering steering stability and braking performance on a dry road surface and a wet road surface. SOLUTION To 100 parts by mass of a rubber component (A), 10 to 200 parts by mass of silica (B), 1 to 30 parts by mass of a sulfur-containing silane compound (C) having a specific structure, and the amount of aromatic vinyl compound An aromatic vinyl compound-conjugated diene compound having 5-80% by mass, a vinyl bond content of the conjugated diene compound portion of 10-80% by mass, and a weight average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene measured by gel permeation chromatography of 5,000-500,000.
