abstract Radiation imaging that is easy to use and can obtain high image quality, enabling both shooting when attached to the C-arm and shooting when not attached to take off the C-arm. It is an object to provide a device. The radiation detector includes a flat panel detector and a holding unit that holds the flat panel detector and the radiation source, and the flat panel detector has a structure that can be attached to and detached from the holding unit. It is possible to shoot both when the flat panel detector is mounted on the holding unit and when the flat panel detector is not mounted. There is provided a radiation imaging apparatus comprising a control unit that controls the flat panel detector so that a calorific value of the flat panel detector during photographing is smaller than a calorific value of the flat panel detector during photographing when mounted.
