abstract | [PROBLEMS] To form a magnetic brush with a short head and a high density, which can reduce the pumping amount as compared with a conventional magnetic pole, and the speed of a circulating portion of a one-way circulating developing device without increasing the diameter of a screw. And the life of the developing device can be extended. A developer carrying member, a supply screw, a collecting screw, and a stirring screw are provided, and a developer obtained by stirring excess developer and collected developer is circulated and opposed to the developer carrying member. And a developer regulating member for regulating the height of the developer layer supplied from the supply path to the developer carrying member, wherein the magnetic brush is rubbed against the latent image carrying member.
