abstract | Disclosed is a process for producing trans-4-amino-1-methylcyclohexanol which can be produced industrially at a high yield and at a low yield by improving the production ratio of trans: cis. A process for producing trans-4-amino-1-methylcyclohexanols of formula 4 or salts thereof according to the following steps. [Wherein, R 1 and R 2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an amino-protecting group. ] [Step 1] A step of producing a compound of formula 2 by reacting 4-aminocyclohexanones of formula 1 with dimethylsulfonium methylide. [Step 2] A step of producing a compound of formula 3 by reducing a compound of formula 2. [Step 3] A step of separating the trans isomer in the compound of Formula 3 or a salt thereof to obtain the compound of Formula 4. [Step A] A step of deprotecting an amino-protecting group in the compound of Formula 2, Formula 3 or Formula 4 following any one of Steps 1 to 3 as necessary. [Selection figure] None |
