abstract | 【Task】 Provided is a method for producing a nickel-cadmium storage battery which is low in cost and excellent in large current discharge. [Solution] As a positive electrode, a non-fired nickel metal particle whose surface is coated with cobalt oxide, a nickel hydroxide particle whose surface is coated with cobalt hydroxide, and a positive electrode active material slurry composed of a binder are filled in a non-fired metal substrate. A sintered nickel positive electrode is used, an electrode body formed by combining this positive electrode with an unformed non-sintered cadmium negative electrode is inserted into an outer can and sealed to produce a battery body, and then activated charging is performed.
